Terms for using Operative Signal.
By using the site, you agree to use its educational material and contribution pathways lawfully and responsibly.
Educational purpose
Content is general education and research commentary. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, a clinical instruction, regulatory clearance, procurement approval, or a substitute for professional judgment and local policy.
Sources and third-party material
Catalog entries and articles link to third-party sources. Their availability, accuracy, licenses, access requirements, and security practices are controlled by their respective owners. Verify official terms before downloading, training, publishing, or deploying.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the service, submit unlawful material, misrepresent ownership or permission, or upload patient-identifiable or confidential clinical data through a pathway not expressly approved for that purpose.
Contributions
A submission is an invitation to review, not a promise of publication, partnership, storage, endorsement, or acceptance of data custody. You remain responsible for having authority to share the information you submit.
Surgical video beta
If an expressly enabled video pathway is available, you may upload only material you are legally and institutionally authorized to share. Before upload you must verify the applicable patient consent or other lawful basis, ethics and institutional requirements, employment and recording ownership terms, and any local restrictions. You must remove identifiers from image, audio, overlays, filenames, and metadata. Choosing anonymous display does not make an identifiable recording anonymous and does not remove your responsibility for the submission.
Community license and moderation
You retain ownership of material you own. You grant Operative Signal a limited, non-exclusive license to privately store, transcode when enabled, display, and moderate an accepted clip for the beta's educational discussion. Uploads may be rejected, hidden, or removed without being judged as low-quality surgery. Members must not download, redistribute, attempt re-identification, provide patient-specific advice, or use community material to train a model unless a separate written permission expressly allows it.
Availability and changes
The service and its content may change, be corrected, or become unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, it is provided without guarantees of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular clinical, research, or commercial purpose.
